hailey | la crescenta baby photography

Here’s another catch up blog.  I photographed hailey when she was 3 months old.  She’s such a sweet girl.  Such a mild, happy personality.  She didn’t cry once during her photo shoot and without even knowing, she fell asleep.

While she took a break, I photographed her older sister.. The most verbal little one year old I’ve ever met. I cannot believe the complete sentences she pulls together. So fun to chat with.

Hailey’s signed up for my First Year Package so I’ve actually had another photo shoot with the family since these pictures.

Hailey’s now almost 8 months and as precious as ever.  She still has a wonderful temperment with tons of toothless laughing to go around.  So cute.

tiffany | redlands maternity & newborn photography

I don’t know how photographers do it.  How do they keep up with their blog AND get all their work done?  I have no clue.  I’m incredibly behind with blogging.  I’m going to try to go back and highlight some photo shoots but I think I’ll mostly move forward from here.  Just don’t know if I can catch up.

For example, a couple months ago, Tiffany called me up to photograph her & her family for a maternity shoot.  Pregnant women are so beautiful, don’t you think?  Tiffany wasn’t absolutely stunning and glowing with that soon to be mother glow.  I loved photographing her.

She signed for the Belly & Baby Package and well, since I’m so behind with my blog, her little package already arrived and I photographed him also!  And what a delight he was to photograph!  He was such a happy baby.  I’ve never seen so many smiles from a newborn before.  He obviously knows what a lucky little man he is to become part of such a loving family.

what to wear

The question I hear most often from my clients is: “What should we wear??”

It seems like a simple thing, but really, your nice pictures can turn into amazing pictures depending on the outfits that you choose. Often times, what I tell clients to do is to choose an outfit for the “star” of your family and work around it.  Often times it’s the baby boy, the sister, or mom ~ the most important person.   Whoever you choose, choose an outfit for that person and everyone else should work around that outfit. Pick a color that isn’t dominant in the outfit, a color that compliments it, or a neutral but fun color that coordinates. Your pictures will turn out best if everyone’s wearing something a little different but yet coordinating.

If I were to have a photo shoot with my family, I would choose a dress for Megan. Then choose a color from her dress or a color that would compliment the dress for everyone else. Of course, I would want to make the pictures fun and lively so I would try to stay away from being monochromatic.  And I love vibrant bursts of colors so I’d try to have someone wear something bright, like some red or orange.

See! Simple, cute, coordinated without everyone being identical! This way, your pictures will look great and not boring. Happy shopping! :)
